GIRLS BASKETBALL: Harrisburg girls basketball went from 4th to 3rd in the new OSAA coaches poll this week. Harrisburg was unranked in the preseason poll, and has now reached its highest position in the poll this season … Pleasant Hill’s team has been hovering between 6th and 8th in the polls all season. Currently, the Billies are 8th. … Cottage Grove was No. 7 in the preseason, fell out of the polls for three weeks, and is now 9th overall in Class 4A.
CHEER: Springfield will be hosting the Springfield Invitational on Feb. 1. It’s one of the final three competitions before the state tournament.
