Mustang win was a ball for all

Mustang Winners: Chris and Joe Groos, of Pleasant Hill, are winners of a new Mustang. Coast Fork Kiwanis Club pulled their winning raffle tickets this month, which were sold outside of Creswell BiMart. Proceeds from the raffle benefit the Kiwanis Doernbecher Children’s Cancer Program (KDCCP) in Portland.

Dear Editor,

Thanks to Creswell Bi-Mart allowing Coast Fork Kiwanis Club to sell raffle tickets outside of their store.
The club has raised over $25,000 locally in the last five years.
On average each year, over 15,000 children from Lane County are treated by Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. This year, Kiwanis raised over $117,000 statewide for the Kiwanis Doernbecher Children’s Cancer Program (KDCCP) in Portland. Over $83,000 of the amount raised will go directly to the KDCCP.
We’ve been lucky in our area as three of the last six years the new Mustang was won through local Kiwanis Club tickets sold in Lane County. This year, Chris and Joe Groos, of Pleasant Hill, won a new Mustang.
There are seven Kiwanis Clubs in our Division located within Lane County, and an eighth club in our Division is in Roseburg. A non-division club also exists in Florence. The Coast Fork Kiwanis serves kids and the community in Creswell and Cottage Grove.
The Club meets for lunch at noon on the first Wednesday of the month in the Clay Bird Cafe and the second Wednesday at Los Cabos Restaurant. Guests are always welcome, and info is available by calling 541-895-4309 or emailing [email protected].
