Dispute leads to man being shot

PLEASANT HILL — Deputies responded to a report of a dispute involving a firearm in the Pleasant Hill area on Wheeler Road.
Both the Lane County Sheriff’s Office and the Oregon State Police went to the scene, where they discovered a deceased man.
The initial investigation indicated that there was no continued threat to the community in connection with this case, and officials alerted the public that the area was now safe.
The investigation is ongoing, officials said. No other information was available at press time.
