PRIDE

A group of individuals who declined to be identified by name came to support the Springfield-Eugene Pride while representing Looking Glass Community Services, which aims to solve challenges related to educational deficits, behavioral health issues, drug addiction and homelessness. Statistics from Human Rights Campaign show that up to 40 percent of homeless youth identify as LGBTQ+. Aliya Hall

Springfield-Eugene Pride held its first march on Aug. 10. Pride activities have been going strong for 28 years, organizers said, but the march was a new installment this year. This year, there were 130 vendors at the event in Alton Baker Park – double the vendors from last year.
