Four Dawgs garner All-League baseball honors

Four members of the Creswell Bulldogs baseball team have been named to All-League teams for the 2019 Mountain Valley Conference/Special District 3 season.
Dean Howard, a senior, was named to the First Team as a utility player/designated hitter; freshman Gio Mediati was named to the Second Team as a pitcher; junior Dallton Dewey was named to the Second Team as an infielder; and Dawson Sharkey received Honorable Mention as a first baseman.
Stephen Parmenter, a senior infielder from Pleasant Hill, was named Mountain Valley Conference/Special District 3 Player of the Year.
Joining Parmenter and Howard on the First Team were pitchers Zach Hart, a Pleasant Hill senior, Bryce Coble, a La Pine sophomore and Sean Riley, a Santiam Christian junior; catchers Alex Farnsworth, a La Pine sophomore; Mason Wirth, a Santiam Christian junior; and first baseman Dax Bennett, a Harrisburg senior.
Also named to the First Team were infielders Brennan Erickson, a Harrisburg senior, Patrick Otis, a Santiam Christian senior and Ely Kennel, a Santiam Christian freshman; outfielders Jacob Hylemon, a Pleasant Hill senior, Johnny Oljace, a Pleasant Hill senior, Jake Pray, a Pleasant Hill senior, Riley Pinckney, a La Pine junior and Austin McKittrick, a La Pine junior; and utility players/designated hitter Adam Plant, a La Pine junior.
Named to the Second Team along with Mediati and Dewey were pitchers Kyle Davis, a Harrisburg junior and Joe Maqatish, a Santiam Christian sophomore; catchers Matt Iten, a Pleasant Hill freshman and Devin Nelson, a Harrisburg senior; and Colin Way, a Pleasant Hill senior.
Also named to the Second Team were infielders Jayden Casarez, a Pleasant Hill sophomore and Ben Calceran, a Santiam Christian junior; outfielders Josh Verdeyen, a Santiam Christian junior and La Pine junior Dylan Westbrook; and utility player/designated hitter Chase Johnson, a Harrisburg senior.
Phil Dube, manager of the league champion Pleasant Hill Billies, was named MVC/SD-3 Coach of the Year.
