LUCILLE SEXTON OCT. 30, 1921 – JAN. 30, 2019
Lucille Sexton, 97, of Cottage Grove, died Jan. 30, 2019. She was born Oct. 30, 1921 in Murphy, N.C., to parents William and Caroline (Marcus) Hass. Lucille married Clarence Sexton in November 1939. They were married for 40 years.
Lucille was a life-long homemaker who proudly earned her GED later in life. Lucille was a faithful Baptist. She loved gardening, sewing, crocheting and was an avid reader.
She is survived by daughter, Sandra Dulley of Pleasant Hill; son, Charles ”Bud” Sexton (Sheryl) of Cottage Grove; son-in-law, Harold Miller of Pleasant Hill; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Sexton (1980), and daughter, Charlotte Miller (2015). A graveside service was held at on Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2019 at Walker Cemetery, in Walker.
