William ”Bill” J. Swires, 83, of Eugene died on Nov.11, 2018.
He was born on April 9, 1935 in Canadian, Texas, to parents Archie and Anna (Evans) Swires.
Bill served in the U.S. Army. He was a millwright at Weyerhaeuser for 35 years.
Bill enjoyed woodcarving, fishing, crabbing, camping, metal sculpting and working with his hands. He especially enjoyed outings with the family.
