Elaine Alden Marek, 89, of Creswell peacefully passed away at 8 p.m. on Nov. 1 from renal failure, with family at her side. She was born before dawn in Glendale, Calif., in the loving arms of her parents James and Clara Sartelle. The family moved from Hollywood, Calif., to Creswell to an old farmhouse on Bear Creek Road when she was 12 years old.…
