Rick Higgins served as a U.S. Army Infantryman and Radio Operator during the Viet Nam War, earning three Purple Hearts, a Bronze Star and a Commendation Medal for Valor. In recent years, Rick has been very active with the Creswell VFW Post, helping the post win national recognition for its community service. Rick has been Post Commander, District Commander and currently is Commander for the VFW Department of Oregon.
