In the girls’ 5,000-meter race, which featured 60 runners, Creswell was represented by a pair of seniors, McKenzie Traetow and Emily Garcia. Traetow finished in 28:04.60 while Garcia finished in 31:14.20.
As an incomplete team, Creswell did not place in girls’ team standings. South Eugene led with 36 points, Philomath was second with 64 and Springfield was third with 70.
”The team as a whole ran their race plans very well,” said Creswell Head Coach Jonathan Ferguson. ”Josiah Lee broke the 20-minute barrier for the first time in his running career, and McKenzie Traetow had a two-minute personal best.”
This Saturday, the Bulldogs compete at the Woahink Lake Cross Country Invitational, to be held at East Woahink Lake in Honeyman State Park in Florence.
