Rodney Mark Hisey

Rodney Mark Hisey

It is with great sadness that we announce that Rodney Mark Hisey, 57, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 18 at the Hisey home. He went peacefully in his sleep to his next home in heaven.
Rodney was born in Springfield on Aug. 6, 1961 to Charles and Imogene Hisey.
When he was younger, Rod’s summers were full of 4-H, camping, haying, working in the garden and swimming in the backyard pool. He frequently told his parents he had the best childhood a boy could have.
Rod worked many years at Total Yard Care. He enjoyed not only making their lawns and gardens look better, but the relationships he made with his customers over the years. He enjoyed hunting, working on the Hisey farm, family reunions, cooking, taking care of his mom and dad, as well as reading books about WWII. He was especially proud of his dad for serving in WWII in the Philippines and Japan. Rod loved to spend time playing with his grandchildren and his boxer, Sugar. He enjoyed refinishing old oak furniture, and spending time with Randy, his brother, and Cathy, his long time girlfriend.
He was preceded in death by his dad, Chuck Hisey.
He leaves many to mourn his loss: his daughter Jessika and her husband, Alex; four grandchildren, Riley, 22, Talon, 18, and Brookelyn, 9; his son Keley; his mother Imogene; two sisters, Becky (Marvin) and Debby; two brothers, Dennis (Kathy) and Randy and his girlfriend, Cathy.
There will be a memorial barbecue for family, friends and customers at the Hisey home at 83977 N. Pacific Highway on Thursday, Aug. 30 anytime from 4:30 to 7 p.m. If it rains, it will be held in the downstairs of the Creswell Church of Christ at 380 Kings Row, both in Creswell.
We know he is walking with Jesus.
