Springfield gets its voice back with new magazine, inside today!

Inside this week’s Chronicle you’ll find our newest publication, Emerald Valley Magazine – Springfield (EVM-Springfield). This publication is a branch off of our other publication, Emerald Valley Magazine – Southern Lane County (EVM-SLC). That magazine focuses on Creswell, Cottage Grove and Pleasant Hill. We’ve published three SLC editions, with more to come this year.
So why branch out into Springfield?
We feel Springfield’s been without a voice for far too long; with no newspaper, and little media coverage on the bustling business scene in town, we want to give hardworking business owners the platform they deserve to tell their stories. We believe this publication is a bright, colorful and honest way to make Springfield’s voice heard. We think you’ll like what they have to say.
EVM-Springfield showcases some of the finest locally-owned businesses and nonprofits in our
area. Growth and change is happening in Springfield and we are excited to bring out the information to our subscribers and to the Springfield community. We are pushing the support your locally owned businesses and community mindset. We cannot stress that enough, and we spread this vital message in all our publications.
We hope you have noticed the positive changes The Creswell Chronicle is making. We are pushing to be one of the strongest locally-owned news sources and media companies in Oregon by adding local heart and soul into the news and information arena.
We are proud to be part of a dedicated team under S.J Olson Publishing. We are blessed to have some of the best talent in our industry working right here in Creswell.
As you read through our new magazine, we ask that you visit, shop at, partake in and enjoy some of companies that have partnered with us. All our EVMs are free to the public and our advertisers pay for the piece to be produced. Spending your hard-earned dollars with these talented folks will only strengthen our local economy. Letting the businesses know you read about them in EVM-Springfield will let them know our magazine is doing its job and is getting people in their doors.
Also be sure to check the publication out online at https://issuu.com/emeraldvalleymagazine/docs/evmspringfield2018-web.
Outside our weekly newspaper, the next publication endeavor is the Creswell Visitors Guide. After that, The Chronicle will be putting out two winter issues of EVM-SLC as well as another EVM-Springfield in November.
Wish us luck on these enormous endeavors and please do your best to shop local!
