The Axe & Fiddle Public House

Cottage Grove is a mecca of locally owned restaurants featuring unique entertainment, intimate ambiances and comfortable environments. The Axe & Fiddle on East Main Street is a prime example of this.
The Axe & Fiddle is a perfect place to stop and unwind, not only during the weekend but every night of the week. For over 10 years, they have featured a diverse and ever-changing menu, well-stocked bar and nightly entertainment, The Axe & Fiddle leaves customers surprised, entertained, and always wanting more.
Diners enjoy an expansive menu, weekend dinner specials and a full bar featuring locally crafted beers, cocktails, wines and more. Ben Gerlach, the Head Chef, has a culinary arts degree and over 15 years of cooking experience with unique and exciting dishes.
The Axe & Fiddle now offers ”Brunch & Fiddle” on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Customers can enjoy delectable dishes such as eggs Benedict, chicken and biscuits, corned beef hash and other favorites.
Additionally, The Axe & Fiddle hosts live music and entertainment nearly every night of the week. The first Tuesday of every month at 8 p.m. marks Trivia Night where customers can test their knowledge and compete with their friends. On the second Tuesday of the month at 6:30 p.m., The Axe & Fiddle offers an Open Mic Night sponsored by Habitat for Humanity. Admission is free, but donations are always accepted.
The third Tuesday features Poetry Night at 7 p.m., hosted by Hal from Kalapuya Books. The fourth Tuesday is home to Science Pub which directly benefits the Willamette Watershed Council.
