Magnuson garners All-State basketball nod

Creswell Bulldogs senior guard Trey Magnuson was named to the OSAA Boys’ Basketball 3A All-State Second Team when All-State selections were made recently. Magnuson was the only Bulldog to net All-State honors for the 2017-18 season.
Emmanuel Reiley, a senior post from the state champion De La Salle North Catholic Knights, was named 3A State Player of the Year, while the Knights’ head coach, James Broadous II, was named 3A Coach of the Year.
Joining Reiley on the All-State First Team are Dayton senior Tanner Lewis, Blanchet Catholic junior RJ Veliz, Horizon Christian senior Anthony Sprauer, Santiam Christian junior Zach Baugher and Cascade Christian senior Joel McLemore.
Joining Magnuson on the Second Team are Irrigon senior Johnny Phillips, Coquille senior Seth Waddington, Lakeview sophomore Jalen Lampman and Oregon Episcopal School senior Ian Holzman.
Named to the Third Team were Dayton junior Braeden Nowlin, Blanchet Catholic senior Mike Bashaw, De La Salle North Catholic senior Kadrem Addy, Cascade Catholic senior Tyler Cochran and Umatilla senior Kaden Webb.
Receiving Honorable Mention were Portland Adventist senior Tyshawn Ford, De La Salle North Catholic junior Kareem Nelson, Salem Academy junior Hayden Wakefield and Coquille senior Henry Scolari.
