EUGENE – Catholic Community Services (CCS) urgently seeks community support as the food insecurity crisis worsens. Lane County’s compassion is making a difference in the fight against rising hunger. CCS has raised $50,000 in just four weeks since launching its campaign on Oct. 28. These funds are already helping to stock pantry shelves and provide nourishing food boxes to neighbors in need.

However, with demand for CCS’s food boxes surging by a staggering 110% over the past three years, and a 14.5% increase in distribution to 38,000+ boxes last year alone, the need remains high. CCS’s $500,000 goal will help stock their pantry shelves through 2026, enabling them to provide 7,000 more food boxes – an 18% increase over last year. And every dollar donated goes directly to feeding neighbors, with 0% for overhead costs.
