A call to action for our readers:

Send us your election questions

A Special District Election will be held on Tuesday, May 16. Voters’ ballots will include candidates including school, fire, water, and recreation districts, as well coverage of local measures.

While we do not endorse candidates, as part of The Chronicle’s hyper-local and nonpartisan approach to elections coverage, all candidates will receive equal opportunity to write a guest column, a biography, and a question and answer prompt, to be published online and in the printed weekly editions leading up to Election Day.

This election season, The Chronicle will cover:

Local school boards:

Springfield School District
Creswell School District
South Lane School District
Pleasant Hill School District
Lane Community College

Fire district boards:
Lane Fire Authority
South Lane County Fire & Rescue
Pleasant Hill RFPD

Water district boards:
Glenwood Water District
Creswell Water Control District
Row River Valley Water District

Parks & Rec board:
Willamalane Parks and Recreation District

Library board:
Lane Library District

Measures:
Creswell Water Control District Measure No: 20-341
Creswell School District #40 Measure No: 20-342
Measure No: 20-340: Renewal of Jail and Youth Services Five-Year Levy

What we know from our readers is … what do you want to ask your candidates?

Send us your questions by this Friday. The editorial board will take your questions into consideration when crafting the Q&A to candidates.

Thank you for supporting local journalism and for being civically engaged in our communities.
