Lane County’s got milk,
thanks to donation

PHOTO PROVIDED David Willis, communication director for the LDS Springfield Stake, right, and Jon Wilkinson, distribution manager for FOOD for Lane County.

On March 6, a semi-truckload of milk arrived at FOOD For Lane County and was distributed to the community.

“Having a fresh supply of milk that can be distributed at all of our pantries is huge for us and them,” said Jon Wilkinson, Broadway distribution warehouse manager, noting that the milk has a three-week window. The Welfare and Self-Reliance Program of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints funded the delivery.

“We can all find ways to help those in need. There are tremendous needs in our community right now, and we’re grateful to partner with FOOD For Lane County to bring comfort and hope to neighbors,”  said Jeffrey Fuller, president of the LDS Springfield Stake.
