Franklin Boulevard gets $19M for updates
SPRINGFIELD – The U.S. Department of Transportation is investing $19 million to perform safety and mobility updates to Franklin Boulevard, announced senators Ron Wyden, Jeff Merkley and representative Peter DeFazio last week.
The grant comes to Springfield as part of the Rebuilding American Infrastructure with Sustainability and Equity (RAISE) Discretionary Grant program and will improve the quality and safety of the boulevard, Merkley said.
