EUGENE — Lane Community College President Stephanie Bulger has been appointed to the Commission on Economic and Workforce Development by the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC). Her three-year term began July 1, and will run through June 30, 2028.
The AACC Commission advises the association’s Board of Directors on issues affecting community colleges nationwide, focusing on student success, partnerships with business and industry, and workforce readiness initiatives.
As president, Bulger leads an institution recognized for innovation in career technical education and community partnerships, serving over 15,000 students annually.
Commissioners are expected to attend at least one of two yearly meetings and contribute to policies that impact more than 1,000 member institutions. Bulger’s appointment notes Lane’s commitment to student achievement and regional workforce development.
