I received a copy of the Creswell 2026-7 Visitors Guide. It is a nice publication. But the Creswell’s Rich History page is troubling.
The Kalapuya have been in what is now Creswell for thousands of years (much longer than the Euro-American settlers the article names) and nurtured the fertile land from which Creswell grew, as the title of the article states. Yet the Kalapuya are totally ignored, as if the area’s history only…
