Third round of ‘No Kings’ scheduled for Saturday

SPRINGFIELD – On March 28, thousands of residents will gather to demonstrate that “America has no kings” and that power belongs to the people. Dubbed “No Kings 3 – Communities in Alliance,” the event will feature mass protests across the U.S., organized by Indivisible and its No Kings partners.

In Eugene, the Activist Coalition of Eugene Springfield (ACES) and the Springfield Alliance for Equity and Respect (SAfER) will collaborate on a nonviolent demonstration and march at Springfield City Hall.

The event will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Springfield City Hall, 255 N. 5th St. Performers at the event include Cross Current, the Raging Grannies, the Singing Resistance, and LoudThing SecondLine Brass Band.

Meanwhile, the Cottage Grove No Kings Event will take place from noon to 2 p.m. at Coiner Park at 1319 E. Main St., organized by local community members.
