YONCALLA – A Drain man died in a single-vehicle crash on March 6 near Yoncalla. Shortly after 2:45 p.m. on March 6, 9-1-1 dispatchers received a report of a vehicle crash in the 10000-block of Elkhead Road. The crash was discovered by a delivery truck driver, who alerted the homeowner. The first arriving deputy discovered a white 2009 Kia Rio in a field approximately 200 feet from the roadway. The driver, identified as 33-year-old Nicholas Rex Snyder of Drain, had been ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
