Oregon Parks Forever is hosting its sixth annual Happy Little (Virtual) 5K race, inspired by the late “happy little trees” artist Bob Ross, to raise money for tree planting. Participants can walk, run, paddle, or roll to complete a 5K anywhere outdoors from April 18-26. Registration is open until April 15 or until participation caps are reached. The cost is $36 per person. For every registration, 10 trees will be planted in Oregon, specifically in the Santiam Canyon. To date, it has funded the planting of 850,000 trees. Participants can register at orparksforever.org. More info: Seth Miller at 503-966-1053 or [email protected]
