United Way launches grants, seeks applicants, volunteers

United Way of Lane County will accept applications for Community Support and Transformation Grants starting Jan. 28, and all applications are due by Feb. 23.

United Way’s Community Support and Community Transformation Grants are multi-year awards funded by community donors.

UWLC is offering two types of grants: Community Support Grants, which provide $5,000 to $20,000 per year for two years for general operating support, program delivery, or collaboration among organizations; and Community Transformation Awards, which offer $50,000 to $75,000 per year for two years to support cross-sector collaborations aimed at creating systemic change for local children, families, and communities.

This grant cycle focuses on three areas of impact: Healthy Community, which seeks to improve the health and well-being of local families; Youth Opportunity, which aims to create success pathways for young people; and Community Resiliency, which prepares communities for emergencies and disasters.

Interested parties can learn more by attending virtual information sessions on Jan. 12 (10-11:30 a.m.) or Jan. 21 (1-2:30 p.m.), or by visitingunitedwaylane.org/grants.
