THURSTON / MOHAWK
■ The Colts open the 2025-26 season at Cottage Grove to compete in the Cottage Grove Relays. Thurston/Mohawk will compete against Cottage Grove, Hidden Valley, Marist Catholic/Elmira, Marshfield, Roseburg, and Sheldon. The one to watch for Thurston will be the senior Quinn Davenport, who has committed to swim at Pacific University next year.
COTTAGE GROVE
■ The Lions will host their first meet of the season with the Cottage Grove Relays. With home-pool advantage, look out for Lions junior Avery Bengtson, who was a state finalist last season. Bengtson will look to continue her strong 2024 campaign into this meet, and will likely place highly.
