COTTAGE GROVE — Cottage Theatre is offering an eight-week after-school program for young actors ages 11 to 17, led by Alana Merz.
The program will culminate in two public performances of “Junie B. Jones JR. The Musical.” Rehearsals are scheduled for Wednesdays and Thursdays from 4 to 5:30 p.m., beginning Jan. 7, 2026. A full week of rehearsals will occur before the performances on Feb. 27 and 28.
This program is designed for performers eager to explore the world of theatre and take the stage. Students will focus on character development, improvisational skills, and audition preparation while learning their individual roles. Tuition for the program is $250, with partial need-based scholarships available.
The young actors will present two public performances of “Junie B. Jones JR. The Musical” at 7 p.m. on Feb. 27 and at 2:30 p.m. on Feb. 28. Tickets for the production will be available starting Jan. 27 at www.cottagetheatre.org or by calling (541) 942-8001. Tickets are priced at $10 for this youth production. All seating is reserved, and advance purchase is recommended.
