MOUNTAIN VIEW AT SPRINGFIELD

Game facts: Friday, Aug. 29 at 7 p.m. at Silke Field

What2Know: Mountain View – a team that’s only losses in the past two years have come in state title games – visits the Millers. Springfield went 2-7 last season, but coach Frank Geske is confident the Millers can cut down on turnovers from last season’s matchup. “We won’t hand it to them this time,” Geske said.

THURSTON AT CALDERA

Game facts: Friday, Aug. 29 at 7 p.m. at Caldera High School

What2Know: Thurston won 45-29 vs. the Wolfpack last year, but Colts coach Justin Starck said that this should be a more competitive game. Watch for the Colts’ new offensive line and how they will execute in this first game.

BOYS SOCCER
