The Oregon Hunters Association acknowledged Cascade Timber Consulting’s dedication to conservation by presenting an OHA “Landowner of the Year” award.
Cascade Timber Consulting, Inc. (CTC) – agent for the Hill Timber Limited Partnership – manages 145,000 acres of forestlands in Linn County.
The property has been owned by the Hill Family since 1910. The managers agree that hunting remains an important forest management tool. The Hill family and CTC welcome responsible hunters on the property.
CTC is a contributor and conservation partner supporting individuals and organizations including Linn County Youth 4H and FFA and OHA.
CTC is supportive of the Mid-Willamette Chapter annual banquet with a donation of firewood. OHA lauded CTC‘s policy of public access to its lands.
OHA announced its annual statewide awards at its chapter leadership summit in July. Chapters and OHA state board members nominate and vote.
“OHA’s annual state-level awards are quite an honor for the recipients because they were selected from an organization of 12,000 members and 26 active chapters,” said OHA State Coordinator Duane Dungannon.
“But it’s a just a small token of appreciation for those who invest so much of themselves for what they believe in and care about,” he said.
