Patsy Ann Barker, age 85, passed away June 18, 202, in Eugene, due to a stroke. She was born July 30, 1939 on a small farm in Ottertail County, Minnesota, to Lyndon and Rosalind (Shultz) Barker. The family moved to Creswell, Oregon, in September 1948. Patsy started school in Parkers Prairie, Minnesota, graduated from Creswell High School in 1957, and attended Eugene Business College, graduating in 1959.
She worked for Pepsi Bottling, the Springfield School District, Gunderson’s, Eugene Radiator in Bend, and Rose’s Treasure House, retiring in 2020 after 23 years at Starplex/CMS event security.
Patsy lived in Creswell, Bend, Eugene, and Springfield, moving to Crescent Park Senior Living in Eugene in June 2023. She enjoyed playing cards and games with the people she met there.
Patsy is survived by her sister Shirley Bonebrake of Creswell, brother Roger Barker of Albany, nieces Susan Bonebrake-Robinson (Jim) of Spokane and Sharon Rexford (John) of Corvallis, nephew JR Bonebrake (Shelly) of Creswell, grandnieces Annie Rexford Boren (John) of Monmouth and Rebecca Rexford of Bend, grandnephew Austin Bonebrake of Springfield, and great-grandnieces Penny and Nora Boren.
A memorial coffee hour will be held on August 9, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00, in the old library at 195 South 2nd Street, Creswell.
