Dear Editor:
Congratulations (Erin Tierney-Heggenstaller) on your advancement in the world of journalism, being a business partner! I have watched your career grow from the time you first went to work for Scott Olson.
Through the years I have had the pleasure of working with you on promotions on several different projects in south Lane County – Friends of the CG Carousel and restoration of the carousel, promotions of the ore cart races for Bohemia Mining Days, and development of fundraising for several different organizations, including development of Toasted Cheese Sandwiches for the benefit of BMD.
And I can say that I could come to you with an idea, explain my vision, and I come back in a few days and you have a beautiful storyline — you could capture it, seemingly without effort.
You have been so good to work with. And the friendship with Noel and wife. Again, congratulations on your advancement. I hope and pray that through this turmoil we are in, that small-town newspapers survive.
The April 3 issue had many issues I enjoyed. Hometown storyline. Beautiful job on the new school superintendent, the article re; the preservation of the historical district and museum. Excellent work.
Thank you again. The very best.
