■ The CRESWELL BULLDOGS ended their playoff run on Wednesday when they lost to No. 2 Cascade Christian 10-4. However, the Bulldogs were the first to score and took a two-run lead early from a series of singles. In the top of the first, first in the lineup, Matthew Jenkins singled. Following him, Kayden Roberts also singled, advancing Jenkins to second. Then, Deacon Edwards singled, scoring Jenkins and moving Roberts to second. Finally, after Colton Hartman singled, Jaxon Pelham had a sacrifice fly and scored Roberts. Despite the Bulldogs recording more hits than the Challengers, the Bulldogs were outscored throughout the game. Edwards and Cody Winn both went 2-for-3. Pelham struck out 8 on the mound. No. 15 Creswell ends its season with a 16-13 record and second in the Mountain Valley Conference. The Bulldogs also received an automatic qualifying bid to the playoffs since 2009 and head coach Kevin Feist was crowned the All-League Coach of The Year.

■ The COTTAGE GROVE LIONS ended their playoff run when they lost to No. 2 La Grande 11-1 last Tuesday. Emily Pacheco earned the run for the Lions and went 2-for-2 with a home run. She also struck out 4 in the circle. No. 19 Cottage Grove (15-11) ends its season recording many historical milestones: a winning record, advancing to Round 1 for the first time in program history, and finishing third in the Sky-Em League. Though the Lions graduate many talented seniors this season, they are also seeing the rise of many underclassmen.
■ THURSTON continues its historic run and advances to the semifinals after downing Wilsonville 12-2. It started when the Colts recorded an explosive 8-run second inning, which resulted in an insurmountable lead for the Wildcats. Kendall Miller finished up the walk-off win with her home run in the bottom of the sixth. Gabriella Montes went 2-for-3 with 4 runs and a home run. Syren Ferguson also went 2-for-3 and Kassy Anderson recorded a home run.
