SPRINGFIELD – Willamalane has joined The Chronicle in launching a multi-platform, hyper-local calendar serving the communities Springfield, Cottage Grove, Creswell, and Pleasant Hill.
The digital calendar launches June 1, and the newly expanded and curated product debuts in a two-page spread with the June 3 edition.
“This is an exciting, new product that further differentiates The Chronicle from other local media sources,” said executive editor Erin Tierney-Heggenstaller. “The ease-of-use on our calendar on mobile and digital devices ultimately will help us draw more readers and serve our communities better.”
Whitney Hoshaw, Willamalane marketing and communications manager, said: “Community events bring people together, and that’s what Willamalane is all about. This new event calendar is a great tool to see what’s happening right here in Lane County, and we’re glad to help make that possible.”
The launch of the digital calendar will provide free-and-easy access to all of the local events happening in our communities around Eugene.
Listings for government and civic groups will be in both the digital and print calendars. The online calendar can be found here https://www.chronicle1909.com/events/
Willamalane, a tax-funded park and recreation department, has a calendar on its website with its specific events. It can be found here: willamalane.com/events
