SPRINGFIELD – Brandon Dewayne Love, 41, pled guilty on April 8, 2025, to unlawfully being in a location where children regularly congregate, a Class A misdemeanor.
In May 2024, he was investigated by the Springfield Police Department after frequenting Splash! At Lively Park on Thurston Road, prompting community concerns about his presence due to his sex offender status Previously convicted of sexual abuse in the second degree in 2002, Love is required to register as a sex offender, police said.
Splash! management contacted law enforcement, resulting in Love being trespassed from the facility. As part of his sentencing, he received 24 months of bench probation, which includes compliance with his sex offender registration requirements.
