Keep the kids busy this weekend and next with pre-Easter egg hunts in Springfield, Cottage Grove, and Creswell.
■ Middlefield Oaks Senior Living in Cottage Grove is hosting an egg hunt on Saturday, April 12, from 2-4 p.m. at 1500 Village Drive. Bring the kids, grandkids, family, and friends for a fun event filled with hundreds of eggs hidden around the community, carefully placed by residents and staff. To keep the fun fair for all, there will be designated sections and age groups for the hunt.

■ The Creswell Church of Christ at 380 Kings Row is also hosting a community Easter egg hunt on Saturday, April 12, from 2-4 p.m., in the front lawn of the church. Everyone is welcome. The hunt will be for kids ages up to 11 years old. Don’t forget a basket or sack.
■ Springfield is organizing its biggest annual Megga Egg Hunt at Lively Park from 9 a.m.-noon the following weekend, on April 19. There are five hunt options available, with fun and games for all ages and abilities. All egg hunters need to buy tickets in advance. Tickets are available until April 18 and are not sold on-site. Tickets are $6 in-district, $9 out-of-district. Expect free activities, such as crafts, balloon animals, face painting, train rides, a photo booth, music, and exhibitors, are open to everyone without a ticket.
