■ On the mat: Thurston girls and their other 5A league opponents wrestle for the Special District 3 title this Saturday. Thurston is coming in with five consecutive league titles – and achieved 11 state championship qualifiers last year, with Kristal Zamora (140) taking home an individual district crown. The Colts are looking to defend their 2023-24 state championship.
