PREVIEWS
#13 COTTAGE GROVE (8-8)
■ Tipping off: The Lions have gotten back up on the saddle after a 2-0 run last week that bounced evened their league record to 2-2. Up next, they hit the road to replay formidable Sky-Em League foe: No.3 Marist Catholic. Earlier this season, the Lions took a 21-point loss against the Spartans. Tai Lam, Trevor Cooper, and Nathin Lemon should play key roles in this critical Sky-Em league game.
#7 CRESWELL (12-6)
■ Tipping off: The Bulldogs hit the road this Friday to face La Pine in a rematch. Earlier, the Bulldogs dominated the Hawks by a 42-point margin. This should be an opportunity for the Bulldogs to get a respite before they have to face more demanding Mountain Valley Conference opponents – such as Pleasant Hill – if they hope to get a postseason spot.
#2 PLEASANT HILL (16-3)
■ Tipping off: The Billies play host to the Elmira Falcons this Friday. This should be an easy victory for the Billies, who are perfect so far in the Mountain Valley Conference (4-0). Gavin Inglish and Landen Melvin will continue to lead the Billies’ offense.
#30 SPRINGFIELD (0-14)
■ Tipping off: The Millers head to face the No.19 Crater Comets this Friday. The Comets have had a finicky start to league and are at 2-2. The Millers are winless this season, however, there is ample time in the Midwestern League to turn things around. Vinnie Trinka remains the Millers’ leading scorer.
#3 THURSTON (13-3)
■ Tipping off: The Colts invite the No.19 Ashland Grizzlies to their home court this Friday. The Grizzlies started 1-3 in league, whereas the Colts launched a 4-0 Midwestern League start. If the Colts continue their perfect start, this may lead to a 2025 league title and a strong post-season seeding.

PREVIEWS
#18 COTTAGE GROVE (7-9)
■ Tipping off: The Lions play host to No.15 Marshfield Pirates on Friday. Earlier in league play, the Lions lost to the Pirates by a 22-point margin. This rematch may be a good opportunity for the Lions to increase their rankings. They started the league poorly at 0-4 and a win from a team that is closely ranked with the Lions will help their chance for a postseason berth.
#15 CRESWELL (12-6)
■ Tipping off: The Bulldogs have hit the ground running at 4-0 in league. Up next, they travel to La Pine to battle the Hawks. The Hawks have fallen on hard times with a (1-12) season so far. This should be smooth sailing for the fearsome offense of Mila Nguyen, Kylie Leonard, and Brooke Moehlmann.
#4 PLEASANT HILL (14-4)
■ Tipping off: After a mixed preseason, the Billies are perfect in their league so far with a 4-0 record and have climbed in the rankings. On Friday, they’ll invite the No.24 Elmira Falcons for a home game. This should be a breezy game for the Billies and their standouts Claire Crawford, Cheyenne Green, and Brooke Weimer.
#5 SPRINGFIELD (11-5)
■ Tipping off: The Millers will travel to Crater on Friday to meet the No.1 ranked Comets. This will be one of the most difficult games of the season for the Millers, despite their imposing lineup of leading scorers Sailor Hall, Darissa Romero-Ah Sam, and Ikunaday Filipe. Last year, the Millers went 0-2 against the Comets and 0-1 in the postseason. The Comets remain their biggest opponent in the Midwestern League. However, if things don’t go their way, they still have the opportunity for a rematch before league wraps up.
#19 THURSTON (6-9)
■ Tipping off: The Colts play host to No.26 Grizzlies on Friday. The Colts have started 1-3 in league and this game will be a good opportunity to increase their Midwestern League standings. Watch for standouts Bridgette Nault, Gracie Nissen, and Payton Tove.
