NATURE OF THE APPLICATIONS: Type 3 Major Variance and Type 2 Site Plan Review. Applicant proposes to construct a recreational vehicle storage facility on a vacant site pursuant to File 811-25-000005-TYP2 (Site Plan Review). Applicant is seeking a Major Variance pursuant to File 811-25-000006-TYP3 to allow for gravel parking spaces for motor vehicles where paved parking spaces are required by Springfield Development Code (SDC) 4.6.120(A). The property subject to this proposal is zoned Light Medium Industrial (LMI).
AUTHORIZED USES: Development plans for outdoor vehicle storage facilities are reviewed and approved through a Type 2 Site Plan Review process. Parking of motor vehicles on unpaved spaces is not consistent with SDC 4.6.120(A) and requires a Type 3 Major Variance process.
