The missed extra-point try left Creswell with an 8-0 lead. QB Darien Dewey had a 2-yard TD run, followed by a 2-point conversion from Dewey to junior Luke Bailey in the fourth quarter for the final score. Coach Scott Worsham said the season was marked with a lot of ups and downs. “I thought our kids improved immensely from Game 1 at Taft all the way to Game 9 at La Pine,” Worsham said. “The biggest highlight was probably our Homecoming game vs. Harrisburg. We played probably the most solid football we played all year with a big 49-0 win. The excitement of the UO band, the flyover before the game, the flashing light show when we scored a TD, and Hunter Mustin’s big game which earned him Athlete of the Week.”

They hope to have a great offseason in the weight room and pursue the goal of getting to the playoffs next season.”
ROSEBURG 28, SPRINGFIELD 14
■ RECAP: The Millers capped off their season with a 2-7 record and No.29 ranking. In their last game against Roseburg, Finn Lessner had 1 TD reception and Clay Rhoades had 1 TD rush with a total of 90 yards in their final game of the season – on the road at Roseburg. QB Noah Solo rushed for a 2-point conversion. Coach Frank Geske reflected on the season, saying: “Despite the challenges, it was one of the most enjoyable groups I have ever had in my 37 years as a head coach. They always had a great attitude and the work ethic was through the roof. We will be better next year because we are returning a starter in every position (except for running back). But most importantly, we will be better because they are a great group of guys who have goals.”
