Catherine (Cathy) Isabelle Sturgess, 71, of Creswell, Oregon passed away on October 14, 2024. Cathy was born October 26, 1952 to Raymond and Echo (Lockard) Sturgess also of Creswell, Oregon.
Cathy attended Creswell High School and worked as a stay-at-home mom while her kids were small. She had a big heart for helping people and worked several years as a caregiver for the elderly and disabled. She also did some volunteer work at the Creswell Church of Christ.
Cathy enjoyed flowers, cooking, baking, fishing, and camping. She took great pride in her family and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed attending Native American powwows and ceremonial dancing.
Cathy was preceded in death by both her parents and her grandson Donovan McLaughlin.
Cathy is survived by her brother Richard Sturgess of Creswell, Oregon, her children Shantai Acuna of Eugene, Oregon, Clint Schradle of Eugene, Oregon, Darik Schradle of Creswell, Oregon, Maraca Merritt of Keizer, Oregon. She is also survived by her grandchildren Taivan, Haley, Deshonte, Magnolia and her great grandchildren Aiden, Noah, Freya, Hazel.
Her memorial service will be held November 2, 2024, 2:00 pm at the Creswell Church of Christ, 380 Kings Row, Creswell, Oregon
