Football previews: Oct. 17 edition

NO. 35 MADRAS WHITE BUFFALOES (2-4) AT NO. 7 COTTAGE GROVE LIONS (6-0)

Game facts: Friday at 7 p.m…Location: 1375 S. River Rd.

What2Know: The undefeated Lions face the White Buffaloes, who have scored only 64 points all season. With the Lions’ imposing offensive line of Clayton Dewitt, Kaeden Grogan, Terran Stewart, and John Paulo Delima, it could be another big rushing day for the Lions. 

NO. 39 HARRISBURG EAGLES (0-6) AT NO. 18 CRESWELL BULLDOGS (2-4)

Game facts: Friday at 7 p.m…Location: 33390 Niblock Ln.

What2Know: While the Bulldogs have had a season of highs and lows, the Eagles have scored a total of only six points over the past three games. This might be an opportunity for the Bulldogs to rack up offensive highlights. Keep a close watch on Hunter Mustin’s big plays along with QB Darien Dewey.

NO. 30 PLEASANT HILL BILLIES (2-4) AT NO. 10 SISTERS OUTLAWS (4-2)

Game facts: Friday at 7 p.m….Location: 1700 W. McKinney Butte Rd.

What2Know: The Billies earned their second victory of the season, and now head to face their toughest opponent on the road. If the Billies hope to get an edge over the Outlaws, their defense and offense will both need to deliver. On offense, Pleasant Hill relies on junior QB Steven Bounds, leading rusher freshman Kai Davis and receivers Jacob Neely and Cota Aanrud

NO. 30 SPRINGFIELD MILLERS (1-6) AT NO. 33 EAGLE POINT EAGLES (1-5) 

Game facts: Friday at 7 p.m….Location: 203 N. Platt Ave.

What2Know: The Millers face the Eagles on the road. Both teams are looking for their second victories on the season. The Millers will need to rely on the offensive abilities of Clay Rhoades, Brady Lo’ser and more particularly QB Noah Solo,who has rushed for more than 130 yards in the past two games.
