PeaceHealth Rides celebrates 6 years with bike share expansion and 100 new bikes

SPRINGFIELD  — Last week, PeaceHealth Rides, a bike share program in Eugene, marked its sixth anniversary with a 100-bike expansion, while also expanding in downtown Springfield, making it easier to travel between Eugene and Springfield. The program now has around 450 bikes, and bike share service areas and hubs in downtown Springfield are noted on the PeaceHealth Rides app and website map.  Above, Jameson Auten, CEO of Lane Transit District, provides remarks during the celebration. At right, blue PeaceHealth-branded bikes get a test run during the event.  New riders can receive a free month of bike share membership by downloading the PeaceHealth Rides app and signing up for the Monthly Plan with promo code SPRINGRIDES24.
