Nash joins Chronicle as distribution manager

Benjamin Nash has been named The Chronicle’s distribution manager, overseeing all aspects of the company’s home delivery, subscription, and single-copy sales of the weekly newspaper. He’ll also lead multiple circulation and subscription initiatives to continue growing the paper’s readership.

Nash, 32, has been an automotive parts specialist the past 11 years with Subaru of New England – and moved to the southern Willamette Valley in September 2023.

“We couldn’t be more excited to fill such a critical position and area of responsibility at the paper with our son,” said publisher Noel Nash, who co-owns the paper with his wife, Denise. “A local family business just got stronger.”

The Chronicle has seen growth through the past year as residents and businesses emerged from the Covid pandemic. The paper became available in October 2022 at every Dari Mart store from Springfield to Cottage Grove, Creswell to Plesasant Hill. More retail outlets carry The Chronicle than at any other time.

“I’m excited to join the team at The Chronicle,” Ben said. “Our goal will be to continue growing and distributing the paper throughout the area with super-service for our readers and retail partners.”

Ben Nash graduated from Simsbury High School in Connecticut, and attended junior college in that state before his automotive career and ultimately serving in managerial roles. His experience with customer service, problem-solving, and critical thinking will help The Chronicle continue to deliver hyper-local news and information.

Outside of work, interests include flight simulation, gaming, cooking, and public service.
