CRESWELL — The annual Winter Lights Celebration on Dec. 9 sure added a twinkle in the eyes of its participants. Santa — and in some cases, multiple Saint Nicks — took to the streets to chat with youngsters and rode on light parade floats down Oregon Avenue. Hosted by the Creswell Chamber of Commerce, the event also boasted a winter vendor market at Creswell Grange and the Creswell Community Center; Mrs. Claus reading to children at the Creswell Library; a performance by the Oregon Tuba Ensemble; a Christmas Tree Silent Auction that benefited Creswell First at the Masonic Lodge; and a sale at the Presbyterian Church. Above, Lily, Evie, and Kelly Gillespie and Katie Vasquez are all smiles with Santa.
