Tribute: Breya Rose Middleton

Breya Rose Middleton
Aug. 24, 2018 — Nov. 23, 2023

Breya Rose Middleton, 5, was born on Aug. 24, 2018, in Springfield, Ore. Her vibrant spirit and infectious smile brought joy to everyone she met. She lived her life with immense courage, friendliness, and thoughtfulness. Though her life was tragically cut short by cancer on Nov. 23, 2023, her impact and memories will forever be cherished by all who knew her.

Breya was the beloved daughter of Scott Middleton and Amanda Patton. She was a cherished sister to Kylee Middleton and a beloved granddaughter to MoMo, Papa Jeff, Grandma Dar, Papa Chris, Papa Bob, GeGe, Hateraide, Corey, Cindi, Riley Feigum, Connor Seely, and many more. Her family was her rock, her safe haven, and her joy.

Breya’s thirst for knowledge was evident from a young age. She attended Harrison Elementary where she loved learning, and her interests were as diverse as they were numerous. From playing with friends to reading books, Breya’s curiosity knew no bounds. She loved watching her favorite TV shows, riding her bike, and exploring the outdoors in her side-by-side. Her creativity shone through in her love for art, and she could often be found in her own world of colors and shapes.

Breya had a spirit that refused to be confined. She loved dancing and singing, expressing herself in ways that touched everyone’s hearts. Her fascination with the magical world of rainbows and unicorns reflected her optimism and joyous spirit. She dreamed big, aspiring to be a veterinarian, a ballerina, an astronaut, a singer, and a dirt bike rider. These dreams showcased her boundless enthusiasm and her belief that she could conquer the world.

In her short time with us, Breya Rose Middleton taught us the meaning of courage, resilience, and love. Though she is no longer with us, her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched. Her legacy will continue to inspire and motivate us to live life to the fullest, just as she did. Breya’s spirit, like a rainbow after a storm, will forever light up our lives.

Rest in peace, sweet Breya, you will forever be missed.

An open house celebration of life will be held Friday, Dec. 15 at 5 p.m. at Harrison Elementary. Arrangements are in the care of Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel.
