• Filbert Grove Community Holiday Bazaar, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at 3530 E. Game Farm Road. Vendors and artisans: quilting, baked goods, art, woodworking, jewelry, holiday gifts, and more.

• Greeters: Business Before Hours at Tavern on Main, 7-8:30 a.m.,338 Main St.

• Create a community sawdust mural, 11- a.m.- 5 p.m. at Springfield City Hall. All-day community art sawdust mural themed Tierra Madre/Mother Earth with Salem-based artist Margarito Sumoza of Casa De La Cultura Tlanese. Marigold tissue paper bracelet making, wooden calavera necklace making, face painting, and coloring sheets. The activities will be available all day and as supplies last.

• Día de Muertos Procession/procesión del día de muertos at 5 p.m. Procession from Springfield City Hall to the Springfield History Museum. Featuring live music, a dedication, and a Community Ofrenda/Altar. Dedication at 5:30 p.m. Procession to the Museum at 5:45 p.m. 

• Heart Walk & Talk – PeaceHealth Oregon Heart & Vascular Institute, 3:30 p.m.- 4:30 p.m., at PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center. Free monthly outdoor walking group.

• Jazz & Bubbles 2023, 5-8 p.m. at the Tavern on Main. Celebrate the success of the Night of 11,000 Stars Gala at the Jazz & Bubbles After Party. International jazz singer and Springfield alum Gina Saputo will perform smooth jazz alongside local jazz musicians. • NAMI Lane County Family to Family, 6-8:30 p.m., 129 9th St. Free 9-session educational program for family, significant others, and friends of people with mental health concerns.

TUESDAY, NOV. 7

• Willamalibrary Book Club at the Springfield Public Library at 10:30 a.m. This month’s book title is ‘The Haunting of Hill House’ by Shirley Jackson. 

• Diabetes Support Group, 5 p.m. – 6 p.m., Ground floor in the Oregon Heart & vascular Institute at the PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center, for any one with diabetes or anyone that cares for someone affected by diabetes.

•  “Game of Thrones” trivia, 7 p.m. at the Pedaler. 

FRIDAY, NOV. 10

• Annual Spaghetti Feed, 5-7 p.m. at Walterville Community Center/Grange Hall located at 39259 Camp Creek Road. Spaghetti with meat sauce, salad, garlic bread, dessert, and beverages. Honoring  veterans.

SATURDAY, NOV. 11

•  Coventry & Kaluza Circus Performance, 11 a.m. at the Springfield Library. A unique blend of comical characters, music and circus skills, providing uplifting, heartfelt, and dazzling performances, like live looping 7 harmonicas while keeping several plates spinning, or funk dancing with multiple hula hoops.

• NaNoWriMo Write-In at the Springfield Public Library from 10 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

•  Monthy Meetup for Transgender, Non-binary & LGBTQIA+ Folks with Our Community Birth Center, 2 p.m. – 3 p.m., at Our Community Birth Center. The monthly group is for those preparing for or experiencing pregnancy or parenthood. 

SUNDAY, NOV. 12

• Friendsgiving Potluck Dinner and Country Dance Night, 1-5 p.m. at the Springfield Elks Lodge. Bring entree, side, appetizer, snack, or dessert to share. Free entry for those who bring a dish; otherwise, $5 entry fee. Children 12 and under free. Doors open at 12:30 p.m. Potluck dinner starts at 1 p.m. Dance lessons 2:30-3 p.m. Open social dancing 3-5 p.m. Open to all ages with a full bar available for purchase. Open to non-Elks members. 

• African Children’s Choir, 6 p.m. at Northwood Christian Church, 2425 Harvest Lane.  Nonprofit program composed of African children, ages 10 to 12, all who come from vulnerable backgrounds and have faced hardship and lack of education.
