Patricia ‘Patty’ Ann (Harris) Phillips

Patricia “Patty” Ann (Harris) Phillips of Springfield passed away Aug. 23, 2023. She was 69 years old. Patricia was born Aug. 16, 1954, in Grants Pass, Ore. to Jack and Helen (Throgmorton) Harris. She grew up on the McKenzie River and later in the Santa Clara area, graduating from North Eugene High School in 1972.
Patty married Jeffrey Phillips in Springfield, Ore. on April 16, 1977. Patty worked as a preschool/daycare provider at Willamalane; later, in medical records at Cottage Grove Hospital, and she was a homemaker. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. She loved dogs and cats and adopted many over the years. She was also a member of Northwood Christian Church.
She is survived by her husband Jeffrey; daughters, Rebecca Phillips of Tualatin, Ore., Kelly Phillips-Cerda of Springfield, Ore.; sister, Donna Pachl of Brush Prairie, Wash.; and five grandchildren. She was also an adopted mom and grandma to many.
A celebration of life will be held on Sept. 7, 2023 at 1:30 p.m. at Northwood Christian Church in Springfield. In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations made to Greenhill Humane Society or Lucky Paws Rescue in Patty’s name.
