Helicopter lands at Springfield camp

The Valley Football Camp at Springfield High and sponsored by the Oregon Army National Guard, ended with a bang Friday as the Army landed a Black Hawk Helicopter at Silke Football Field. Progress made on CHS football field

Creswell High School will have a new football field and track surface next season. According to the Creswell School District officials, the new football field will be turf  instead of grass, and the track will be red; the old one was black. CSD partnered with the Community Sports Development Council to build the new turf field, and signed a contract with Beynon to build a new track. Beynon is the same company that built the University of Oregon’s Hayward Field track, and also resurfaced Springfield and Thurston tracks in 2022.
