Tovey takes 4th, 17th at Nike Outdoor Nationals
Last week Bailey Tovey, a rising senior at Thurston High School, competed at the Nike Outdoor Nationals, one of the nation’s premiere high school track and field meets. Tovey competed in the Championship level of the javelin, coming in 17th with a throw of 34.68 meters.
Tovey also competed in the Emerging Elite shot put. Emerging Elite is the division below Championship at the meet. In the Emerging Elite section of shot put, Tovey came in 4th overall with a 11.73-meter throw.
