Denise Joann Reineke, 76, died on Easter Sunday of lung cancer.
Denise was born Feb. 13, 1947 and was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Bonnelle Berens, of Coburg, Ore. Denise has two sisters and a brother, Diana Becker (Ron), Patty Hutchinson, and Bill Berens.
She was married to her husband, Duane Reineke, on Nov. 12, 1971 and they recently celebrated their first date on Feb. 7, 1971 (52 years).
Denise was a proud mom of three children, Bob Reineke (Amy), Stefani Myers (Perry), and Shaun Reineke. Her grandkids are Taylor, Nathan, Emma, Cooper Reineke, and Mason Myers. Her great-grandkids are Carter, Cody, Chloe, Mateo, and Kimo Reineke.
Denise will be deeply missed. She often referred to her husband, Duane, as her best friend. She loves animals and in the last 10 years, has been feeding the local squirrels daily.
A great way to pay tribute to Denise would be to continue taking care of the local squirrels in your neighborhood as she would have loved this.
