BOB WILLIAMS / THE CHRONICLE SPRINGFIELD — Last week, Springfield celebrated the lives and work of human rights leaders, Dolores Huerta and Cesar Chavez at Hamlin Middle School Hosted by Springfield Alliance for Equity and Respect (SAfER) and Springfield Public Schools, the annual event highlighted the student artwork and writing inspired by Huerta and Chavez, and also featured Music by Springfield High School Mariachi del Sol, singers from the Guy Lee Elementary dual-language immersion program and the Ballet Folklórico Colibri.
